It’s the end of the year and EVERYTHING and EVERYONE is crazy!!! You have more on your to-do list and the emails just keep coming. MAY is my least favorite time of the year. I feel overwhelmed and the kids are ready to be on summer break! Here is how to make an end of the year countdown!

Where To Find Ideas

Every year I do some sort of a countdown. Usually, I forget, because of my mile-long list of things to do, but this year I had the luxury of having an amazing student teacher! I was able to start the 26-day countdown. I started by going to TPT and searching FREE countdowns. I found this one by Sweetnsauerfirsties that has the amazing bulletin board that you see pictured in this post. It did take a little bit of time to print, laminate, and cut out, but now I have it for every year! Also, this year we have TA’s, and if you have that luxury, then prep will be a breeze!

Examples Of Each Day On My Instagram

I ended up changing a lot of the days because, like you I wanted them to fit my class, budget, and style. You can head over to my Instagram @theprimarycoach86 to see what each day looked like in my classroom. You will find it in the countdown highlights in my profile. I know that each year I will need to change up my countdown to fit my class, but I am excited to have a lot of ideas and a starting point. If you would like the form, I used you can grab it here. I also included blank templates if you would like to make it your own!

I know the end of the year can be crazy, but this is a great way to do something fun each day and make a memory for the kids. I have kids that come back each year and say it was their favorite part of 1st grade! What fun days have you done in your classroom?
