Having a Fall Party in the classroom can be time-consuming, stressful, and chaotic. Trying to keep it close to what we would do in class, so the expectations are there help out. My parties are an hour and a half. 1 hour for 4 twenty-minute stations and 30 minutes to eat. Planning this out so they are with you for lunch is great because then they don’t waste their money on food when they are eating at the party. Here is the invitation I send out for parents.

Here are the 4 rotations with the supplies needed. I do a sign-up genius for the supplies and parents bring them the day of the party. Before the party starts, I go over my expectations about the party and what is acceptable and not acceptable.

Stations

Bingo

I found these FREE bingo cards on TPT. They will use pumpkin seeds or candy corn as markers. I have parents bring in $1.25 Tree prizes for the winners. They can have 2 winners then they can have some candy corn after that.

Pumpkin Shading

First step, print this FREE template of a pumpkin. We started in the middle with orange. You just add a little bit of brown and they painted the next section. Then add more brown and they painted the last section on that side. Give them a new paint brush and added white this time. The final section you add more white so that each section was a different color or shade. After they are done, they will sign it with a Sharpie and put it in their cubby to dry. I have a small jar where they will make an estimation of how many candy corns there are.

Ring Toss/Placemat

They love this station! I borrowed 2 big pumpkins with good stems and we use 2 glowstick necklaces to make a ring. Students will toss the ring to try to get it on the stem. Playing for around 5-7 minutes.

You can use construction or regular paper to make a placemat template. Trace a plate, a rectangle for the napkin, and a circle for the cup. Then, copy the 12×18 paper and each kid gets to decorate it. This year I am planning to teach them leaf rubbing. They can decorate it any way they want! They will use this for when we get our food for lunch.

Pumpkin Catapult

By far the favorite of the party. It does take some additional time and I have them make them with me before the party. It usually takes 30 minutes to make them. During the party, they will use their catapult to play THESE games. I didn’t do prizes for these, but a fall pencil, eraser, or sticker would be a good prize.

Feast Time

After the stations are cleaned up, I have the students get their placemats and set up where they are going to eat. They pick a drink then I call up each group to come get a plate of food. I turn on the music and let the kids sit wherever they want. A movie is great, but kids never get to talk, so I just do music.

Parties do not have to be stressful or time-consuming. Having a typed-out plan that you can use or tweak each year is the key! Have fun and spend time with your kids. Do you need some November activities? Check out it here!
