Last Week Of School Theme Days

What in the world do you do during the last week of school? The kids are crazy, and we are done and bombarded with a million things we have to do with an email a mile long. We are stressed and the last thing we want to do is have days that aren’t structured. The less it’s like our normal schedule the worse they get. So, my amazing team does these theme days! It has made it so much fun, and the kids have been good!
If you are doing an ABC Countdown or any summer countdown, you can easily fit these days in to that. For Beach Day mine is Zooming off to the beach! I used signup.com to ask parents to donate things for a fun-themed snack each day. My team made a Canva presentation for each day because we plan together, but you don’t need one at all!
Watermelon Day Schedule
Snack- Watermelon slices and strawberries
Schedule:
Story- The Watermelon Seed
Math- Greater than/Less than activity and independent work
Recess
Do you like watermelon and strawberry tasting and graph
Lunch
Watermelon Seed to Fruit Video
Seed spitting video and contest with watermelon gummies for the prize!
–You can use watermelon seeds if you have them or I used sunflower seeds!
Camping Day Schedule
Snack: Smores
Story-The Camping Trip With PowerPoint questions
Math- Race to 100
Recess
Directed Drawing- Smores
Lunch
Snack- Smores You could use a solar oven or just heat it up in the microwave for 20 seconds!
Story- A Camping Spree With Mr. McGee
Competition- Camping BINGO prize is smores mini candy
Lemonade Day Schedule
Snack lemonade- lemons, sugar, water, ice and pink lemonade
Story- It All Began With Lemonade

Competition- Tossing a beach ball back and forth whoever drops it is out. Winner gets a pack of Swedish fish.
Finding Nemo Movie
This has given me and the kids a routine for each day to end the year in a fun way. My kids look forward to each day and our team has made it fun with dress up days and decorations. None of it is needed, but if I know primary teachers, they will want to make it special! Share this with your teacher bestie and be happy not stressed the last week!
